Trash Herping

'Trash Herping' is a free fortnightly event that tries to help people have a better connection with the natural world.

When the sleepy sun sets, the 'Wonders In Nature' team set about on one of their regular guided 'Wildlife Walks' looking for flora and fauna. Our guests will have the opportunity to learn about each species that is either seen or heard all whilst helping to maintain their habitat by collect trash as we go.

Did You Know? Herpetology is the study of reptiles and amphibians. A common expression used by reptile enthusiasts when 'out in the field' looking for wildlife is ''To go herping...". Hence, when Wonders In Nature go out looking for wildlife and pick up trash along the way, we are 'Trash Herping'

No animals are harmed or taken from the wild during the'Trash Herping' activity.All animals are 'left as found' once the teachable moments have finished.No protected species are disturbed.
